Bitumen Tile Underlayment MembranesKEN Ltd. also supplies to it’s customers membranes which are used for Tile Underlayment. Tile Underlayment Membranesare laid under the tiles as an extra safety for waterproofing of the roof. If any cracks or problem happens on the tiles, water is drained by Tile Underlayment membranes. They are produced in two thicknesses and with different carriers and compounds. (APP modified or oxidized)
Viaduct Membrane
Bridges and viaducts are very expensive structures and they are built with very expensive and technological materials in order to get long maximum service life. Because of the fact that this kind of structures are always open to atmospheric conditions and also have dynamic traffic loads on their surface, they must be cared a lot when ther are built. One of the most essential jobs in building this kind of structures is obviously waterproofing. Using bituminous membranes is the most economical solution for waterproofing bridges and structures.
Shingle Underlayment Membrane
When making application Shingles on the roof, if the slope of the roof is less than 30% or if the climate is very cold and is expected heavy snowfalls, it is strongly advised to use Shingle Underlayment membrane. This membrane is especially formulated for asphalt roofing shingles and suitable for nailing. The upper surface of the membrane is covered with fine sand in order to prevent slipping during application of Shingles. It is reinforced with polyester mat and the thickness of the membrane is 1,5 mm.
